Here are some videos that everyone should watch since the history books seldom touch upon certain things.

Click to watch a speech by Kitty Werthmann, an Austrian Nazi regime survivor talks about life under Nazi rule and how things changed once they joined Germany, including how the Nazis took control of Education (which lead to book burning) and Health Care (which was socialized medicine).

The word Nazi is a German abbreviation for “National Socialist”.
The Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei or the National Socialist German Workers’ Party
was actually voted into power in 1933. Some might say there are frightening similarities in today’s society.

Remember, Mein Kampf was published in 1925 and in less than 2 decades, that’s less time than lapses between the birth of an American citizen to having them be old enough to legally drink a beer, 55 million people were dead including 6 million Jews via genocide, which until then, the word itself didn’t exist. It wasn’t the nuclear weapons, it wasn’t a Cold War, it was Mein Kampf and The Communist Manifesto that kept the world on its toes for the better part of the 20th Century. Never underestimate the power of an idea, nor the willingness of an uneducated populous to repeat the atrocities of history they failed to learn from.

Another (older) movie that is a novel by Todd Strasser based on a true story is a movie called The Wave

In 1967 a student in a history class asks how an entire country of people could go along with slaughtering millions. The teacher conducts an experiment which unknowingly turns those same students into order following “soldiers” and opens their eyes to the fact that they themselves answered their own question.
