A very interesting dichotomy you provide. You’re obviously intelligent enough to speak German (or at least are competent enough to operate Google Translate) and you know your history which is rare nowadays. (btw the Beavis reference in your other (unpublished) comment was pretty spot on in content along with it matching your username, very humorous indeed, leading me to believe that you are about my age given the choice of character and the retention of historical facts not present in Generation Y) But given the tone of your comments its seems to me that although you have the acumen to render yourself aware of the past, I do believe you fail to reap the lesson that it taught. I’ll give you, albeit a Hollywood version, reference to how evil is defeated. In the movie “The Untouchables” Sean Connery’s character, Jim Malone, says “they pull a knife, you pull a gun. They send one of yours to the hospital, you send one of theirs to the morgue.” The only way you overpower someone (or something) is with greater strength, greater numbers or greater technology… in that order. Yes, the people voted Hitler into office as they do most leaders in a democratic society. But men are fallible and when men turn evil they must be stopped. They can only be stopped by the 3 methods aforementioned. I do not wish to see the same thing happen to my country as has happened to EVERY great empire/society in human existence. If it does, I’ll be able to survive in a cave in the middle of nowhere, the sheeple who support this failed ideology will not. If I do get to witness the fall of this mighty empire, the only joyously divine thing to come out of it will be watching those who didn’t heed the warnings have their lives ended by the people they thought were their saviors, by a gun they refuse to pick up by declining to defend the only the only thing that matters and the only thing they had left. Their lives. Time proves all truths. If I’m wrong, I’ll admit it. Hell, I’ll buy you a beer. If I’m right, y’all be too dead to care.
